INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC), for performance, evaluation and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher
education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure. As a result, the IQAC cell, Dhemaji
College was formed during the academic session 2004-05. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC, Dhemaji College works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
The prime task of the IQAC, Dheamji College is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of the institution. No doubt, its Success depends upon the sense of belongingness and participation it can inculcate in all the constituents of the institution, including guardians and well wishers. The IQAC, Dhemaji College welcomes suggestions and constructive comments
from different corners towards quality improvement of the College.

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION SYSTEM (IAES)

The College has introduced the internal assessment and evaluation system (IAES) to satisfy the norm of continuous and comprehensive evaluation of students. The IAES of students is primarily based on the following:

  1. Attendance in test/terminal examinations, unit tests and marks secured in these tests.
  2. Class attendance/regularity of students in different subjects.
  3. Use of library services by the students.
  4. Participation in seminars/discussions etc.
  5. Participation in co-curricular activities.
  6. Teachers comments/views on a student.
  7. Performance in Home Assignments etc.

Students are advised to satisfy different pre-conditions satisfactorily to secure a good grade in IAES.

COLLEGE MAGAZINF/WALL MAGAZINE

To enhance and reflect the literary, socio-cultural, educational and other co-curricular activities of students, college magazine can play a vital role and keeping interest in this direction, Dhemaji College has its own magazine known as "The Dhemaji College Magazine", where students and other family members of Dhemaji College can reflect their potential in different fields.

Moreover there are general Wall Magazine and also Departmental Wall Magazines in each department which are published in different issues in a year. Students can take this opportunity also and may avail the latest trend and development in their respective fields.

SEUJBAN - A CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AND STUDY

Seuj Ban, Dhemaji College reflects a site of activities of the college in the field of bio-diversity conservation. It covers a sufficient plot of land within the college campus with well protected permanent boundary.

An orchid house named as "KOPOU" is one of the main attraction of "SEUJ BAN", which contains 85 different local orchid species. Visiting the orchid house-KOPOU during the blooming season is an enjoyable opportunity for the visitors.

RACHMEE- THE PLACE WHERE TRADITION MEETS MODERNISATION

As a vocational subject, Dhemaji College has a separate building for sericulture department with well equipped laboratory and other required facilities which was developed under the UGC schemes, "CHUMONI" and "NONI BARI" -the food plants garden for non-mulberry and mulberry are the special feature of it, These are located within the campus of RACHMEE, Dhemaji College.

There is a Green House and Medicinal plant Garden within the RACHMEE campus which was sponsored by Defence Research Laboratory(DRL), Tezpur.
