ACCREDITATION BY NAAC

The Dhemaji College volunteered to be assessed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Self Study Report was submitted to NAAC by the institution in December, 2003. A Peer Team was constituted by the Council to visit the institution and validate the Self-Study Report. The Peer Team consisting of Sri N.K. Mishra, IAS (Retd.), Vice-Chancellor, Utkal University for Cultures, Bhubaneswar as the Chairperson, Prof. C. S. Mishra, Professor of Commerce and Controller of Examination, Nagaland University as the Member Co-ordinator and Prof. B.K. Agarwala, Professor of Zoology, Tripura University as the member, visited the institution for two days from 4th to 5th October, 2004.

The Peer Team carefully perused and analyzed the Self-Study Report submitted by the institution. During institutional visit, the Peer Team went through all the relevant documents and visited the various constituents of the college. The academic, administrative, co-curricular, extra-curricular, sports and extension facilities of the college were visited and examined in detail. The Peer Team also interacted at length with the members of the College Governing Body, Head of the institution, faculty, non-teaching staff, students, parents and alumni of the institution. Based on the above exercise and keeping in mind the criteria
identified by the NAAC, the Peer Team has taken the value-based judgment.

The Executive Committee of NAAC, on the recommendation of the duly appointed Peer Team, was pleased to declare the Dhemaji College affiliated to Dibrugarh University, Assam as accredited at tl1e 'B' Level.
